WASHINGTON 鈥� An opera singer hit the wrong note with Alexandria police on Friday night.
reports, opera singer Krista Clouse was using a speaker to amplify her voice as she sang on the sidewalk near King and Lee streets in Old Town –where she was arrested 聽for violating the city鈥檚 noise ordinance.
Clouse, who claims she was simply expressing her First Amendment rights, toldthat she sings to earn tips to help support her family.
She was singing a scene from 鈥淓vita鈥� while聽police conducted the arrest, 聽as this cell phone footage posted on YouTube shows.
