WASHINGTON 鈥� A man died after he crashed his vehicle into several others parked聽at the Naval Academy’s golf course in Annapolis, Maryland, Thursday afternoon.
A man was driving his vehicle at a “high rate of speed” on Greenbury Point Road on the Naval Support Activity Annapolis side of the base when he lost control of his vehicle and swerved into and damaged five vehicles parked at the Naval Academy Golf Course, said Cmdr.聽David McKinney, an聽academy聽spokesman, in an email to 海角社区app.
Emergency crews transported the man, whose name has not yet been released, to Anne Arundel Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
No other individuals were involved in the accident, McKinney said.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation, and officials have not released details about how fast the driver was going at the time of the crash.
The man who died does not appear to be affiliated with the Naval Academy and is not a Naval Academy faculty or staff member, said McKinney.
