WASHINGTON — A tractor-trailer overturned on the Inner Loop of the Capital Beltway Wednesday afternoon causing traffic to be snarled for several hours Wednesday afternoon.

A truck carrying a large pipe overturned, spilling debris onto the road. The crash blocked all lanes of the Inner Loop of the Beltway between Rockville Pike and Connecticut Avenue exits.

All lanes reopened by 5:45 p.m.

Officials have not release information about if there were any injuries as a result of the crash.

It was the second traffic issue affecting the same neighborhood. A in the 9100 block of Rockville Pike in Bethesda, Maryland, is causing is traffic delays. Only one southbound lane is open for drivers.
