WASHINGTON — The principal of Wilson Senior High School in Northwest has resigned less than one month after learning his contract will not be renewed.
Pete Cahall said two weeks ago that D.C. Public Schools聽did聽not renew his聽contract, citing low student test scores.
Initially, Cahall said he would finish out the 2014-2015 year.
On Tuesday, 聽Kaya Henderson, chancellor of DCPS, released a statement saying Cahall’s resignation was effective immediately.
Assistant Principal Gregory Bargeman will step in for the remainder of the year.
