WASHINGTON — A bomb threat shut down聽Spotsylvania Towne Centre for several hours on Saturday.
Numerous 海角社区app listeners reported significant traffic delays on Va. Rt. 3, 聽just off of Interstate 95, due to the law enforcement response.
Spotsylvania Towne Centre is just south of the sprawling Central Park shopping area.
The mall was聽evacuated as explosive detection K-9s from the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office, 聽Virginia State Police and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security聽conducted a search.
No bomb was聽聽found, Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Jeff Pearce says.
The mall was reopened at around 4:30 p.m.
