Deputies in Loudoun County, Virginia, arrested and charged a man involved in a shooting inside the Dulles Town Center shopping mall Sunday, leaving one person in serious condition.
Alan W. Colie, 31, of Leesburg, was arrested and charged with aggravated malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and discharging a firearm within a building, Loudoun County Sherriff’s Office said聽
LCSO spokesperson Thomas Julia told 海角社区app deputies received a call shortly after noon about the shooting. Within three minutes, deputies arrived at the mall and found Colie lying on the floor in the upstairs food court, where they believe the shooting occurred.
Deputies also found a handgun lying on the floor near Colie.

After the shooting, a 21-year-old man made his way outside the mall entrance, where he was found after being shot in the stomach. He was treated by deputies and members of the Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System before being taken to the hospital.
Authorities say he is in serious condition.
No other victims or suspects were found.
Following the shooting, the mall remained closed for the day. The mall reopened for business on Monday.
Julia told 海角社区app the department is investigating reports that Colie and the man had a confrontation moments before the shooting. Deputies confirmed both men did not previously know each other.
