Fog advisory in effect for most of º£½ÇÉçÇøapp listening area

WASHINGTON – A dense fog advisory is in effect for most of the º£½ÇÉçÇøapp listening area Thursday morning.

The National Weather Service issued the advisory until 10 a.m. for much of Maryland and Virginia around the D.C. and Baltimore metropolitan areas. Visibility is reduced to a quarter of a mile or less, NWS reports.

The advisory extends to Western and Southern Maryland and Central Virginia.

“It’s like cream of broccoli soup out there,” says º£½ÇÉçÇøapp Anchor Mike Moss.

The poor visibility will result in difficult driving conditions through mid-morning, according to NWS. It recommends driving more slowly, using low-beam headlights and keeping plenty of distance from cars ahead.

The fog should burn off by midday, giving way to a chance of drizzle and highs in the mid 70s.

Friday should be sunny in the 80s, with thunderstorms returning on Saturday.
