WASHINGTON – The body of a newborn infant was found in the trunk of a car in Calvert County Thursday evening.
Police discovered the remains around 6:40 p.m. after a man called to say he found the dead baby inside the vehicle, which was located in the 5400 block of Hallowing Point Road near Prince Frederick.
The man told police that he and his wife were cleaning out the car when they found the baby.
Authorities say it is not clear who the parents of the newborn are and who owns the car.
