Infant critically hurt in a hit-and-run

WASHINGTON – An infant was critically hurt in a hit-and-run accident Wednesday evening.

The accident happened just before 5 p.m. on Eastern Avenue Northeast at Kenilworth Avenue, according to D.C. Police. A woman and another child were also hurt, but police did not know their conditions.

Investigators are looking for a suspect who was driving the car that hit the family. He is described as a black man with a medium complexion and braids. He stands 5-foot-8-inches and weighs about 150 pounds. He was last scene wearing a red T-shirt, red shorts and black sneakers.
