WASHINGTON – 海角社区app has won three regional Edward R. Murrow awards including a win for best investigative reporting.
The Radio Television Digital 海角社区app Association announced the Thursday. The 2013 awards recognize the best journalism that radio, television and online news organizations produce.
海角社区app was honored in the Breaking 海角社区app category for its team coverage of superstorm . Former Sprawl and Crawl reporter Adam Tuss was honored for his work . And Brennan Haselton was recognized for his .
“This is another proud moment for the talented journalists in the 海角社区app newsroom. While the D.C. region knows and respects 海角社区app for breaking news and superior programming, it’s an honor to be recognized by our peers,” says Program Director Laurie Cantillo.
The winning reports will be entered into the national competition for large market radio stations, which will be judged this summer and awarded in New York in October.
海角社区app’s sister station WFED won for and will also compete for a national award.
Including these three Edward R. Murrow awards, 海角社区app has won 11 major journalism awards for work produced during the past year, says Senior 海角社区app Director Mike McMearty.
“It’s an honor to be recognized by the RTDNA judges with three Edward R. Murrow awards – truly the gold standard in our profession. These awards are a reflection of the dedication, motivation and professionalism of the entire 海角社区app newsroom staff,” McMearty says.
