WASHINGTON – It’s a more common habit than maybe you cared to even consider.
About two-thirds – 64 percent – of people who use public bathrooms use their feet to flush a toilet, according to a survey from the Bradley Corporation, a Milwaukee-based plumbing fixture manufacturer.
The company says it conducted this rather specific bit of research as part of its , all in effort to gather more information on how people felt about public restrooms.
The study also found about 63 percent of people surveyed have had an “unpleasant” experience in a public bathroom, naming a bad smell, a clogged and unflushed toilet or overall dirty appearance as their top complaints.
