Tribe against Redskins’ name pledges $10M to Smithsonian’s Museum of the American Indian

The Oneida Nation, a roughly 1,000-member tribe from upstate New York, has pledged $10 million over 10 years to the Smithsonian’s Museum of the American Indian, according to The Washington Post.

The tribe — which has prospered in the casino and resort business — is holding a Monday at the same Washington hotel where the NFL is holding its fall meeting.
