WASHINGTON – Sure, your pet is adorable, but swaddling him or her in clothing can be a recipe to for the perfect pet photo — and Tuesday may be just the excuse you need to indulge.
Tuesday, Jan. 14 is . The day was founded by in 2009 as a way to celebrate pets and support the “pet fashion community,” according to the event’s website.
Paige says that the day is an opportunity to dress up your pet in a fun and safe way.
“It’s important to remember though, that it’s not, however, a day to disrespect our pets with uncomfortable, vulgar and/or seasonally inappropriate costumes for the sake of a laugh or photo shoot,” Paige says on the site.
