Washington newswomen raise awareness, support for breast cancer with 海角社区appBabes Bash

WASHINGTON — There are 14.5 million cancer survivors in a U.S., a number that is expected to grow to 19 million over the next decade. And the most common type of cancer among female survivors is breast cancer, .

To celebrate, support and raise awareness for survivors of breast cancer, a group of women in the news industry, including 海角社区app’s , are banning together for the annual .

This year’s Bash will take place Wednesday, June 11 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Powerhouse in Georgetown. General admission tickets to the event are $75; tickets for survivors are $50. Expect plenty of pink cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.

The 海角社区appBabes Bash will benefit Survivors Offering Support, and Dr. Jill Biden will be a special guest for the evening.
