WASHINGTON 鈥擳he Georgia Avenue Metro station was shut down briefly Sunday due to a stabbing , according to Metro Transit police.
According to police, the assailant, a woman, stabbed a man near a station entrance.聽The station was closed for about 45 minutes because the only other entrance to the station was being renovated.
Police said the man was taken to the hospital but was 鈥渘ot cooperating鈥� with the investigation.
The聽stabbing聽likely was 鈥渄omestic in nature,鈥� police said.
