WASHINGTON 鈥� Police in Prince George鈥檚 County are looking for a suspect who was seen on surveillance video taking a 4-year-old child鈥檚 wheelchair.
On Sunday, the child鈥檚 mother left the wheelchair in her apartment building鈥檚 lobby on Merrimac Drive. Police say she typically leaves the chair in the lobby, as it is easier for her to carry her son聽to their apartment.
According to police, the mother went to get the wheelchair Monday morning, and found that it had been taken.
In the video, the suspect is seen pushing the empty wheelchair in a Langley Park apartment parking lot.
鈥淭his family already faces challenges and shouldn’t be burdened with the emotional and financial stress of the theft of this wheelchair. The suspect we鈥檙e looking for has no heart,鈥� says Capt. Ken Humbel on the Prince George鈥檚 County Police Department鈥檚 .
