Prince George’s County is seeing a bump in new business, particularly grocery stores 鈥 with a new Whole Foods at Riverdale Park, Harris Teeter in Laurel, and another on the way in Bowie.

With National Harbor serving as a glowing example of retail success聽there, Baker says the aim is to land new business around Metro stations such as College Park, Brandywine, and Largo Town Center.

“We looked at University Town Center. We’re very excited about the efforts being made there, and talking to folks at the Mall at Prince George’s and getting them to invest more into that mall,” he says.

There have been a slew of recent business announcements in recent months, including Dave & Busters at聽Richie Town Center in Capital Heights, and the arrival of Whole Foods in Riverdale.
