WASHINGTON聽鈥斅燗 man聽was hit by a truck聽Wednesday聽just聽after 1 a.m. on聽Suitland Parkway at Naylor Road聽in聽Prince George’s County.
Sgt. Anna Rose, of the U.S. Park Police, initially said the man was in the crosswalk when he was hit and has been taken to a聽hospital with life-threatening injuries. Officials said around 8:30 a.m.聽that the man was walking across聽the street, and not through a crosswalk.
Rose聽said the聽investigation is ongoing.
The parkway was聽closed in both directions between Branch Avenue, in Prince George’s County, and Alabama Avenue Southeast, in the District, until about 5:30 a.m.
