WASHINGTON 鈥� A bicyclist was hit by a car early Sunday in Prince George’s County, police said.
Officers responded to a call for a collision at Kenilworth Avenue northbound聽before Highway 50 shortly after 1 a.m.
Prince George’s County police聽said they聽found a聽male bicyclist suffering from critical injuries in the roadway.聽He was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
Police said the driver stayed on scene. They said the聽accident is under investigation.
DC 295聽northbound was closed聽after the crash. The 海角社区app traffic team reported聽that all northbound traffic was diverted to Route 50 eastbound. DC 295 northbound lanes聽were closed for several hours before they were reopened聽shortly after 8 a.m.
