WASHINGTON 鈥� A man is dead after a shooting on the Maryland-D.C. line Tuesday afternoon.
Police responded to an apartment complex parking lot on the Maryland side of the intersection of Southern Avenue and Suitland Road at 2:10 p.m. for reports of a shooting. The first officer to respond tried to perform lifesaving measures on the man who had been shot, said Prince George鈥檚 County police.
Emergency crews transported the man to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police are working to identify any suspects. It is not clear what led to the shooting. Police are asking anyone with information to call them at 1-866-411-TIPS.
