10-year-old girl singing rendition of ‘Hallelujah’ will give you chills

WASHINGTON — Kaylee Rodgers, a ten-year-old from Northern Ireland, captivated the fleeting attention span of social media for a full four-something minutes with her rendition of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.”

The fact that she has autism and ADHD is beside the point, although聽Rodgers聽should be commended for braving the stage and exuding such confidence.

The video of the performance was posted on Facebook and YouTube, where it quickly amassed over 250,000 views and hundreds of comments.

Rodgers’ mother聽told that Kaylee’s music teacher at Killard House School, Lloyed Scates, is someone to thank for helping nurture her talent.

鈥淪he always loved singing, but it wasn鈥檛 until she started at Killard House School that she really came into her own,鈥 she told BBC. 鈥淸Mr. Scates is] like her safety blanket 鈥 he鈥檚 amazing.鈥

Watch Kaylee’s version of ‘Hallelujah’ below, and see if you don’t get the feels.
