WASHINGTON — Don’t cross Philly Eagles fans.
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, a 2016 presidential hopeful, who inflamed a good portion of his own electorate when he was shown celebrating a Dallas Cowboys win over the Philadelphia Eagles in the box of the Texas team’s owner on December 14, has found out the hard way.
聽falling off of his chair during a summer interview. The聽show’s host, Angelo Cataldi, who lives in New Jersey, said he was “appalled” at Christie’s display in 听辞飞苍别谤听‘ box, and decided to release the video 聽in retaliation.
The video shows the clip of聽Christie聽falling, 聽replayed several times and set to carnival music.
Philly and New Jersey聽fans took major offense to Christie reaching out to hug Jones during the game. New Jersey football fans in general fall into three camps — the Eagles, the New York Jets or the New York Giants (both of those NY teams play in New Jersey) — so he was making no one happy with that move.
Christie is a longtime Cowboys fan, and that he has never made a secret of that, but his critics聽during the that followed say he should have kept the hugs to himself.
