Local bodybuilder, foul-mouthed grandmas appear on NBC’s ‘Little Big Shots’

WASHINGTON – The world’s oldest female bodybuilder stole the show during NBC’s “Little Big Shots” Wednesday night.

Ernestine Shepherd, 81, of Fort Washington, Maryland, said she wakes up every day at 2:30 a.m. to run. She holds the Guinness Book of World Records for being the oldest female competitive bodybuilder. She challenged host Steve Harvey to a plank contest and, needless to say, Harvey didn’t stand a chance.

The show also featured the two sassy grandmas from Clarksburg, West Virginia who rose to viral internet fame for their foul-mouthed conversations. The sister duo calls themselves Gramma and Ginga, but their real names are Genevieve Musci, 102, and Arlene Cody Bashnett, 97. During the show they flirted with Harvey, who also grew up in West Virginia and called them his “homegirls.”
