WASHINGTON 鈥斅營nterstate 66 eastbound at mile marker 38, near the Fauquier/Prince William county line, has reopened after a tractor-trailer crash just before 9 a.m.
The accident caused huge delays and force th聽Virginia Department of Transportation to establish a detour at聽exit 31.
This was the second shutdown of I-66. Earlier, it was shut down before the Haymarket exit.
The accidents in the icy conditions occurred about 2 miles apart.
Stacy Londrey says the accidents were the result of聽folks not able to get traction or who didn’t hit the brakes on time.
Additionally, a 补蹿迟别谤听a tractor trailer jackknifed just before 5:30 a.m.聽Several other vehicles were involved in the crash, as they spun out on ice.
