WASHINGTON — A bank robbery in Washington Tuesday included a bizarre twist — the culprit arrived armed with not only a gun, but also an oxygen tank.
The man was connected to the tank via a tube under his nose as he approached the teller at the Wells Fargo at 5701 Connecticut Ave. NW with a handgun shortly before noon on Tuesday. He fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The individual is described as a black male, 40 to 50 years old, with black facial hair including a mustache and goatee.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to his identification, arrest and conviction.聽They caution that the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous, and that tips can be submitted by calling 202-278-2000 or the Metropolitan Police Department’s tip line at 202-727-9099.
