D.C. voters cast their ballots Tuesday in a primary that will result in the election of a new mayor and new D.C. delegate to the U.S. House in November, a political sea change decades in the making.
Mayor Muriel Bowser did not run for a fourth term in office, and D.C. Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton is stepping down at the end of her 18th term.
Other candidates on the primary ballot were competing in races for the D.C. Council and attorney general.
