March Madness basketball may have been canceled due to coronavirus.
However, if you need an escape, you can vote in our entertainment bracket.
This year we want you to decide the Best Animated Movie of All Time.
Most are streaming on Disney+ or Netflix while you’re stuck indoors.
In order to make the list manageable, films had to meet these criteria:
1) No live-action hybrids (“Who Framed Roger Rabbit?”) or motion capture (“The Polar Express”)
2) Must be a feature release, not a TV special (“Rudolph,” “Frosty,” “Grinch鈥�)
3) No shorts (“Looney Tunes”) or compilations (“Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh”)
4)聽Must be a family flick, not adult anim茅 (“Akira,” “Ghost in the Shell鈥�)
5) No sequels (“Toy Story” but not “Toy Story 2,” “Shrek” but not “Shrek 2”)
From here, we divided the 64-team bracket into two sides: 32 classic and 32 modern.
To define classic vs. modern, we chose a cutoff point of the year 2000.
Seeding is based on popularity (“The Lion King” was such a box-office smash that it launched Disney’s first Broadway show), historical impact (“Snow White” was the first animated feature) and awards (“Beauty and the Beast” won the Golden Globe for Best Picture, while “Shrek” won the first-ever Oscar for Best Animated Film).
So without further ado, let the voting begin! First Round voting is open until 7 p.m. Tuesday.
