PHOTOS: Crowds attend Memorial Day Parade in DC

Despite persistent rain, crowds of people lined up along Constitution Avenue in D.C. Monday to watch the Memorial Day Parade. They were wearing rain slickers and carrying umbrellas to honor those who served and died.

The parade featured all the armed services, and high school marching bands 鈥 some from Florida, Georgia and Louisiana. Also, there were floats carrying family members of the fallen service members.

At Arlington National Cemetery, President Joe Biden lauded the sacrifice of generations of U.S. troops who 鈥渄ared all and gave all鈥 fighting for their country and called on Americans to ensure their 鈥渟acrifice was not in vain鈥 in Memorial Day observances.
