WASHINGTON —聽Two local motorcyclists were killed, while four others were injured after a semi-truck ran off a North Carolina road Saturday morning.
The聽motorcyclists聽from the Maryland and Virginia Black Eagle Ryders club were headed to a rally in Atlanta when another biker had聽trouble with his vehicle. The group stopped聽on the shoulder of聽Interstate 85 in Guildford County, North Carolina when聽a聽semi-truck ran off the road and hit all six bikers, reports.
Arnie Morris of Woodbridge, Virginia was killed instantly Saturday and Kenneth Jefferson of Chesterfield, Virginia died Sunday.
The truck driver David Serna and co-driver聽Jacob Salazar of Florida聽drove off, but a flat tire stopped them.
According to North Carolina police, the drivers were not impaired by alcohol or聽drugs.
Serna聽was charged with felony hit and run.聽Investigators say Serna may聽have fallen asleep.
