WASHINGTON 鈥� A 15-year-old Maryland girl has been charged with baking marijuana brownies and selling them at school, making some of her fellow students sick and sending two to a hospital.
The St. Mary鈥檚 County Sheriff鈥檚 Office said in a statement Thursday that a worker at Great Mills High School, in Great Mills, Maryland, saw on Wednesday that a student was ill, possibly from eating a brownie that contained THC/CBG, a component of marijuana.
The school system and the sheriff鈥檚 office determined that the girl made the brownies and sold them to fellow students, the statement said. The sheriff鈥檚 office added that 鈥渘umerous鈥� students ate the brownies and got sick, and that two had to be taken to a hospital for treatment.
The girl has been charged with possession of marijuana, distribution of marijuana, distribution on school property, reckless endangerment and disruption of school activities.
