Virginia Lottery: Self-serve machines are running again

The Virginia Lottery said Tuesday morning that all of its self-service vending machines are up and running after about 2,000 were out of order following a routine download.

Lottery spokesman John Hagerty told 海角社区app that some 2,000 machines were affected by a problem with a routine download.

Haggerty said this did not affect lottery sales at the majority of its retailers.

There are more than 5,300 licensed retailers across the state and many stores have self-serve vending machines, along with sell-and-redeem tickets at the counter. Those activities are not affected.

EDITOR’S NOTE: An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated the number of licensed retailers.
