The outdoors forecast: April showers bring a freeze warning

Some weird weather is in store for the D.C. area, with rain later in the week and a somewhat-rare April freeze warning.

If you’re going out for your outdoor recreation time early in the morning Wednesday, you may need a jacket, Storm Team4 meteorologist Briana Bermensolo said.

But the good news is it will come and go while most of the area is still in bed. According to the National Weather Service, it will be in effect from 2 a.m. to 8 a.m. Wednesday.

A brisk day follows, with sunshine and highs in the high 50s.

But the clouds return on Thursday with a sense of purpose. And there will be a strong chance of rain going into the weekend, with highs in the low 60s.
